Fr Peter writes   ...this Sunday is “Laetare Sunday” - like the third Sunday of Advent, the Church uses pink vestments instead of purple ones to encourage us to look forward to the end of Lent and the celebration of Easter.  So often we do need that final little bit of encouragement to get to our goal.  It is just the same with the fig tree in the Gospel, it is given another chance in the same way that God forgives us too.  Let’s hope that this Lent will make us fruitful, with the fruit of the presence of Christ in our lives and of those we meet.
