Fr Peter writes   ...well, how are your New Year’s resolutions getting on ?  At the moment I am too busy trying not to slip on the ice to remember quite what mine were but I’m afraid I’m never very good at them.  So often we spend our time worrying about what we are going to be like in the future rather than what I am like today!  It really is “today” that matters.

This weeks Newsletter also gives myself, Fr Lawrence SJ, Deacon John and Seminarian John a chance to thank all of you who sent us cards and gifts over Christmas - they were so very much appreciated along with your great generosity in the Christmas “Offering” collection which amounted to £695.00 at Our Lady’s and £1467.97 at St Edmund’s.  This goes towards looking after us and our needs during the year - “thank you” again s much  for your kindness towards each of us.  A Happy New Year !!

“WELCOME BACK”

...to the pupils and staff at our two primary Schools after what we hope has been a restful holiday.  There was much excitement this week with all the snow, but a special “thank you” to parents who made the effort to get their children in to School and, especially, to all the Staff who also came in, some from considerable distances!
