Fr Peter writes   ...gosh ! The weather has been pretty fraught for all of us, especially those who are elderly or housebound.  This week the hospital are sending my mother home so my brother and I have been down to her house to move her bed downstairs and get things ready for her and her carers who will come at different times of the day.  It is always strange as a child, looking after your parents, however old you are, but, as I once read, the elderly are “God’s oldest friends”.  Oh that they could give us their wisdom and thus give us a shortcut to holiness !!  BUT that, of course, is not how it is.  We all have to make our own way to God, encouraged by those around us and those who have touched our lives by their own holiness.  Thank goodness that, as the Church, we can help each other and travel towards God together !

“WELCOME BACK”

...to Deacon John from his Christmas break back in the USA.  A new welcome to Peter Donnelly, a student from the English College at Valladolid, who introduced himself at our Masses at Millwall last week and to Chris Yule, also from Valladolid, who will introduce himself at the Mass at Limehouse this week.  They are staying with us for the month of January.
