Fr Peter writes  

 

...so much has happened in this last week.  There has been the awful tragedy in

Poland and our hearts have gone out

especially to our Polish parishioners at their great loss.  The fact is that any

country

depends on its “A” team for government etc., and to lose them all at one blow is tragic.  I know we will all be praying for that country and its people.

           At the same time the press have

continued to pillory the Church, ‘though sometimes it does not seem to have been helped by some of the comments

attributed to people in Rome.  I am sure we will all keep praying for the good of the Church and for the Holy Father in these difficult times.

           Next weekend is the London marathon which, as those of you who have been here for more than a year will know, means we cannot have Sunday Masses since all the roads are closed.  Please take note of the special Saturday evening Mass times.
