Fr Peter writes   ...we are in our final “run up” to Holy Week now and next Sunday is “Palm Sunday” or “Passion Sunday” as it is sometimes called.  That is the Sunday on which we all stand to hear the Passion narrative read as our Gospel for the day.  Each year it is a powerful message and a most dramatic story as we accompany Jesus through the evening, the night and the next day.  At the end of it, all seems lost, all forsaken; and yet, the three days in the tomb end with the glory of the resurrection.

How many times have we felt that things could not get worse and that there was no hope, yet “resurrection” followed and we could, in retrospect see God’s hand at work.  Our lives are sometimes full of daily deaths and resurrections but through it all we can see the person of Jesus Christ, risen so that we might have life eternal.
