Fr Peter writes  

...this weekend we will all watch some part or other of the London marathon, whether we want to or not !    St Paul uses the image of a race to help us see our task in being good Christians.  When you do watch the marathon runners go past you cannot but be impressed by their sheer effort - whether they are right at the front or far behind dressed as a Womble !    It might make us all reflect a bit on how much effort am I really prepared to make with living my Faith ?  It is not easy - in fact it requires real effort, to find time for prayer,  to spend some time reading Scripture and, of course, to come to the Sacraments, especially the Mass.

 

The opportunity of our new, permanent, 7.30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady’s, Limehouse every morning Monday to Thursday, offers us one such opportunity.  The Mass is at 7.30, but the YCW community and Fr Peter and Seminarian John meet at 7.15 to pray the Morning Prayer of the Church.  Mass begins at 7.30 and is finished by 7.50 so that people can go off to their work.  Why not come along and prepare for

running the spiritual marathon of your day?
